The first large exhibition of the principal artist of the Imperial Porcelain Plant has been opened in Moscow.
A personal exposition under the title Tatyana Chapugina's Porcelain has been opened in the Tsaritsyno State Memorial Estate.
The exhibition presents traditionally shaped vases, decorative table-tops and mosaics and even the author’s collection of “porcelain” dresses.
Tatyana Chapurgina was born in Ossetia and studied in the Mukhina Arts and Crafts School in Petersburg. After graduation she was engaged in painting on fabrics, and carried out projects for interiors of public buildings in St Petersburg, and taught at the chair of fabrics in Mukhina Arts and Crafts School. She started to cooperate with the Imperial Porcelain Plant in 1998 and became its chief artist in 2011.
The exhibition Tatyana Chapurgina's Porcelain will run till December 25.
