Prices for the Sochi Olympics hotels to be limited by the state

Russian government can set up prices for hotel rooms in Sochi during Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games. Prices might vary from 2.9 thousand Rubles up to 13.9 thousand Rubles for a night, informs the Ministry of Economic Development in a resolution draft.

A room of the highest category at a five star hotel would cost no more than 13.9 thousand Rubles, a standard single room would cost 8.3 thousand Rubles, a double room 10.6 thousand Rubles.  

Four star hotels should limit their prices as following: 13 thousand Rubles for a room of the highest category, 5.8 thousand Rubles for a standard single room, 6.5 thousand Rubles for a double room.  

By the start of the Olympics Sochi will be ready to offer 42 thousand hotel rooms, 27 thousand of them are newly built. The booking will be opened by the end of 2012.
