Pussy Riot Supporters In London Walk Away Free
15.10.2012 15:39

A group of English gals clad in white entered St. Paul's cathedral in London and chained themselves to the rails of the staircase - in support of Pussy Riot and as part of the OccupyLondon movement.

The protest action continued outside the cathedral where OccupyLondon activists decried the Church's allegiance to the state in matters of economy that is undergoing a deep crisis in the UK.

The police informed the girls that they could be arrested and put in custody. However, the attendants of the evensong at the cathedral declared they did not mind the girls being present - and chained. One of the participants was in a wheelchair.

Although initially they threw the keys away, around 10pm the girls managed to set themselves free and left.
