Russia’s football team together with their coach, Fabio Capello, believe that breaking Azerbaijan’s well-organized defense will be the hardest aim in the match on Tuesday, October 16.
Russia continues participating in the World Cup 2014 qualifying campaign with good results. Previously, the team defeated the fourth strongest team in the world - Portugal - 1:0. Now Russians have nine points from three games and no goals conceded see them sitting top of the Group F.
Azerbaijan are certainly not in the same class and are almost 100 places below the Russians in the FIFA rankings. However, neither the coach no Russian players expect an easy battle.
"Azerbaijan are a well-organized side and are disciplined. They have several strong players, who could cause us problems", Fabio Capello said.
Russia already have a healthy goal difference, and with Azerbaijan being one of the weaker sides in their group, the game could be a good chance to score even more goals. If the Tuesday's match ends with Russians' victory, they will have taken another small stride in their quest to qualify for the next World Cup automatically.
