Russia’s Under-21 football squad have qualified for Euro 2013, defeating Czech Republic 4-2 on aggregate in the qualifying playoffs.
Russians were named stonger than Czech team according to the sum of two matches. In the first match, on October 12, Russian team won 2:0.
The second match took place on Yekaterinburg on October 16 with 2-2 draw. Consequently, Russian team claim the tie 4-2 on aggregate and progress to the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship to take place in Israel between June 5 and 18.
Previously, Russian Under-21 football squad took part in the event in 1994 and 1998, going down in the quarterfinals on both occasions.
