Yekaterina Samutsevich, a member of the protest punk group Pussy Riot, who was given a parole last week, has lodged a complaint with the European Court of Human Rights.
According to the Kommersant newspaper, Samutsevich made complaints about her freedom of speech right's violation, illegal criminal prosecution and groundless arrest. Besides, Yekaterina's lawyer Irina Khrunova said that the arrest of her client violated several articles of the European Convention.
The more detailed complaint is planned to be submitted with the human rights court in Strasbourg by the end of this year.
Last week Samutsevich was freed by a Moscow court at an appeal hearing. Still, two other women in the anti-Putin punk group must serve out their two-year sentences. They are now set to be transferred to a penal colony hundreds of miles from Moscow.
