The outstanding actor and director Sergei Yursky will stage a play about the artist Marc Chagall, one of the most prominent representatives of avant-garde of the 20th century, and the last minutes of his life.
Yursky expects to present his new play by spring 2013.
The stage director is going to convey a set of impressions which Chagall faces in the last seconds of his life or “the first second after his death”.
The play is expected to be staged in the Mossovet Theatre, in which Sergei Yursky has served since 1978. However, in an interview the actor announced that the show can be staged even as an independent phenomenon, out of the theater. Sergei Yursky is going to play the leading role himself.
