The USA Express Concern about Leonid Razvozhayev's Case
Leonid Razvozhayev

Washington asks the Russian authorities to check the statement of the oppositionist Leonid Razvozhayev saying that he was tortured to wrest from him testimony against other members of protest movement, Sergey Udaltsov, in particular.

In an interview to Kommersant the president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said he did not know whom exactly the concern had been expressed to: “according to our diplomatic sources the appeal was addressed to the Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for human rights Konstantin Dolgov — it was done yesterday in the morning. It is a reminder that Leonid Razvozzhayev is accused of kindling mass riots. The suit was filed on the basis of facts stated in the scandalous film Anatomy of Protest 2.
