Unique Monument to Be Restored in Yaroslavl Region

The Stable Yard built in Rostov Town of the Yaroslavl Region in the 1680s-1690s under metropolitan Ioasaf Lazarevich is the only construction of such function that has remained in Russia since that epoch.

This spacious and sound building in 1835 was transferred to the military department, and serving as military warehouses was in a good condition until the 1970s. Unfortunately by now it has turned into ruins that are distressing to Russian and foreign tourists who come to look at the magnificent Rostov Kremlin.

However, there is a hope that the monument will be rescued – the Ministry of Culture has already placed orders for its restoration and allocated 122. 5 million rubles. The restoration works will be launched next year.
