Jesus from 'South Park' Supports Pussy Riot

One of the scenes of the new "South Park" episode shows Jesus to appear in the "Free Pussy Riot" referring to jailed Russian punk band. The episode "A Scause for Applause" can be seen here. The t-shirt is demonstrated on mark 21:05.

"A Scause for Applause" is the 13th episode of the 16th season. of the American animated sitcom South Park, and the 236th episode of the series overall. It was premiered on Comedy Central in the United States on October 31, 2012.

The episode mainly references the Lance Armstrong doping scandal, his losing a testicle to cancer, his cancer-research foundation, and the Livestrong wristband (among other cause wristbands). But, as it's usual for 'South Park" series, there are many other topics to be discussed in one episode.

The "Free Pussy Riot" t-shirts reference the Russian punk-rock band Pussy Riot, three of whom were arrested and convicted on charges of hooliganism after an unannounced protest performance on the soleas of Moscow's Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. Wearing such t-shirts is one of the most popular ways to express support for the band in Russia and other countries.
