A 10-centimetre bronze sculpture of a rebel of the Minin and Pozharsky epoch has been unveiled in the Lukh Settlement of the Ivanovo Region.
The monument has been set up in the niche of the gate at the entrance to an ancient fortress. The remains of a wooden fortress in Lukh belong to the federal archaeological monument Earth Mounds of the 15th-16th centuries.
The sculpture of a rebel wearing military clothes and weapons was financed by the settlement dwellers. The monument initiated by the newspaper editorial office, was created by its contributor Mikhail Smirnov.
The rebel is two centimeters smaller in size than the famous Chizhyk-Pyzhik in St. Petersburg, which was recognized the smallest street sculpture in Russia.
