The Russian Railways reportedly plan to turn Moscow terminals into entertainment centres - and even to open cinemas there.
For over a year it has been claimed that the first cinema at the railway station will appear in Kazansky Railway Terminal. Now, however, it looks more likely that the pioneering terminals will be Paveletsky, Rizhsky and Savyolovsky. In all three reconstruction works are nearing the end.
Other entertainment facilities will include boutiques, snooker tables, shooting rangers and children's rooms - nothing too intellectual for railway passengers who opt in for cheaper fares.
Some observers worry that, should these entertainment centres prove popular with Moscow citizens and visitors, they may significantly aggravate traffic situation in the city.
