The first national university ranking has been created in Russia. Lomonosov Moscow State University is at the top of the list being followed by Moscow State Technical University n.a. N.E. Bauman (MSTU) and Saint Petersburg State University (SPbGU).
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) and National research university ‘Higher school of economics’ are also in the top five.
Lomonosov Moscow State University also heads the list of the most expensive universities in Russia, followed by Moscow State Institute of International Relations and National research university ‘Higher school of economics’.
More than 40 criteria had been taken into account to evaluate the efficiency of the Russian universities, including the quality of education, physical infrastructure, the popularity of the university among the university entrants, the demand for its graduates on the labour market, the level of research activity and innovation infrastructure.
