Tomsk fashion models school for the disabled people presented its new evening gowns collection “Beyond the Limit” within the framework of Novosibirsk fashion week.

 Tomsk school for the disabled fashion models is the first one of its kind in Russia. This school has recruited students for the second time already. The students are taught basics of the fashion shows, acting techniques, and psychology. The graduation exam here is an interregional competition “Special Fashion”, that will be held in December, 2012. Taking part in Novosibirsk fashion week was part of the training.

Irina Dorohova, the art director of the school, shared her impressions of the event. She tells that the models from Tomsk were warmly greeted by the audience. They introduced the collection “Beyond the Limit” by Eugeny Rabotkin, famous Tomsk fashion designer. The idea of Rabotkin’s show was to destroy the stereotype about the disabled people. Irina Dorohova also says that the whole week in Novosibirsk was a great experience. It helped the models to increase their team spirit; they made a lot of friends there, and were sincerely accepted as models.
