Adygea Continues Developing Its Skiing Facilities

Adygea continues developing the skiing facilities at Lagonaki ski resort that is expected to successfully compete with the famous Krasnaya Polyana resort in the Russian Caucasus.

      Although Lagonaki is presently under development, January 2013 will see the opening of the first part of the motorway to the resort. The road is currently being strengthened against the landslide. The reconstruction of the second part will start afterwards.

      Lagonaki ski resort located on the border of Kuban' Region and Adygea Republic is seen as a new major route for sport tourists and ski fans. Lagonaki provides over 40km of ski terrain with slopes of various difficulty and length. The infrastructure will be developed under the guidance of Austrian and Swiss engineers, and the resort is expected to accommodate 30 thousand visitors at the same time. Over a calendar year around 1mln of visitors are hoped to visit Lagonaki.
