On the 7th of December a charity gala concert will be held at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theatre in Moscow. This concert will be dedicated to the 275th anniversary of Vaganova Russian ballet Academy.

25 years ago the Russian ballet Academy organized a great concert on a Moscow stage. This year, the idea is to get away from the usual format of the concert and to get back to the tradition of the famous “Petersburg evenings”. The producer of the show, People's Artist of Russia Yuri Laptev, pays special attention to the modern technical facilities in order to demonstrate the history of Russian ballet from the opening of the Academy and to the present day. The ex-students of Vaganova Academy from all over the world, ballet masters of the greatest theaters will come to the celebration. Among distinguished guests are Yuri Grigorovich, Natalia Makarova, Lyudmila Semenyaka.

The first professional ballet school in Russia was founded in 1738, nowadays it is Vaganova Russian ballet Academy. The whole pleiad of the world-famous ballet masters graduated from Vaganova Academy. The methods of classical dance teaching, developed by Agrippina Vaganova, are appreciated worldwide.
