Exhibition Of Miniature Books In Smolensk

Smolensk Regional Universal Library will host the exhibition "The Patriotic War of 1812 in miniature book publishing" from the collection of Oleg Lobachev in celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812.


      

Lobachev Oleg is a native of the village Tumanovo in Vyazemsky district. He also is a military engineer, a retired colonel, a board member of the Moscow club of miniature books lovers and a collector, a scholar and an enthusiast of miniature books. He has a collection of over 10,000 books. The main topics of his collection of miniature books are chess, classical Russian, Soviet and foreign literature, children`s literature.


      

The exhibition "The Patriotic War of 1812 in miniature book publishing" will be open from 27 November to 22 December, 2012.
