According to the new rule adopted by the Russian Premier League Committee, tickets to football matches will be sold by the passport. The rule comes into force already on November 30, 2012.
The All-Russia Centre for Public Opinion found out that 61% of Russians in 43 regions are happy with the decision. This means that they will need to have a passport with them to buy a ticket and then to enter the stadium. The measure comes in a bid to curb the ticket sale corruption. Only 17% were strongly against the measure.
Another set of measures that may soon be discussed and adopted concerns football fans' bevahiour in the stadium. 14% favoured stronger reaction from the police, 10% suggested to increase the fans' responsibility, 7% were for a proper education for fans, and 4% asked to stop fans coming to the match drunk, with alcoholic drinks hidden under the coat.
Altogether, 37% claimed that Russia should be able to correct the fans' habits and instill the new etiquette rules by 2018 when the country hosts the World Cup.
