Mosfilm Begins Production Of a Film Based On Alexander Kuprin Works
30.11.2012 17:34

Mosfilm begins production of a film based on the works of Alexander Kuprin, starting with a dramatisation of The Duel short story.

As the crew explains, this will not be a film about the author, but the author's character will be used as a link between dramatisations of his various works.

This is not the first time the Russian cinema adapts Kuprin's work to the screen: in 2009 his novel The Officers, starring Andrei Kharitonov, was serialised for the Russian TV.

Author: Julia Shuvalova
