Bank of Russia has issued 5 kilo silver coin

Bank of Russia has issued 5 kilo silver coin to commemorate 200 anniversary of Russian victory at War of 1812, informs CBR press release.


      

The coin is 15 centimeter in diameter and is made of 925 sterling silver. Only 50 such coins have been released. Its nominal value is 500 Rubles.


      

Soldiers of Russian and French armies at the Battle of Borodino are depicted at the coin pile. The Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God is depicted on the top of the coin pile, intersected standards, trumpets, accoutrements and weapons are in the bottom of it.
