Premiered on September 12 and by now sold in some 47 countries, the new model of the iconic smartphone is expected to hit the shelves of more than 50 other countries, including Russia and China. In Russia, the iPhone 5 will officially go on sale on December 14, 2012.
Its price has not yet been revealed but usually it's much higher than in the U.S. where it is currently offered for $649-849, depending on the memory size. According to previous reports, including by Bloomberg, the iPhone 5 has been priced at as much as $3,700 in the Russian gray market, with some 50,000 phones expected to have been sold before the official release.
