The Korney Chukovsky Award Ceremony of 2012 took place in the framework of the 6th Moscow Festival of Children's Literature in the Central House of Writers on Saturday.
The expert community decided to hand the first prize to the poet and writer Grigory Oster, the author of Bad Advice and the screenwriter of well-known animated films (38 Parrots, Kitten Named Bow-Wow, etc.).
In addition to that, the head of department of the State Literary Museum "Chukovsky's House Museum in Peredelkino" Sergey Agapov, poet Tim Sobakin (Andrey Ivanov), and the collective of Children's Radio have also become the award winners.
Chukovsky's award is given on various nominations; besides, one can become the winner only once, on the basis of one’s all merits. Financing of the award is carried out at the expense of the capital budget.
