Rosneft has invited BP’s chief executive Robert Dudley to help the oil giant better integrate its newly-acquired assets.
According to RBC daily, the company is planning to set up a dedicated committee to make sure TNK-BP’s operations continue uninterrupted and its best practices are maintained.
Robert Dudley has been offered a seat at the board of the committee, a move praised by experts.
Mr Dudley led TNK-BP between 2003-2008 and was forced to leave after falling out with one of its major shareholders, AAR.
Earlier in the autumn, AAR sold its stake in TNK-BP to Rosneft after the state-owned company led by powerful Igor Sechin sealed a deal with another key shareholder, BP.
