Free excursions through the backstage will be conducted in the 18 Moscow theatres during the Christmas holidays. The excursions will take place from December 24, 2012 to January 13, 2013. During the Christmas holidays Moscow theatres give all residents of Moscow a unique opportunity to look at the theatre from the inside.

During the excursions through the theatres that are usually located in historical buildings you can visit scene shops, wardrobe departments, prop shops, dressing rooms and other places in theatre which are usually closed for the audience. As part of the New Year's festival the excursions will take place during the winter holidays all along in the 18 theatres of Moscow, altogether more than 250 excursions will be conducted. 

The participation in the action has been already confirmed by the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich Danchenko Musical Theatre, New Opera Theatre, Mossovet Theatre, Pushkin Theatre, Et Cetera Theatre, Taganka Theatre, Moscow Puppet Theatre and others, as well as the Concert Center “ZIL”. The visitors of the Taganka Theatre, for example, will be able to see the table behind which Vladimir Vysotsky applied his make-up, the office of Yury Lyubimov, the walls of which are covered with the autographs of famous visitors, including the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
