The performance of "Tales of Brock Street" based on the eponymous collection of works of the French writer Pierre Gripari opens the first Russian theatre in Geneva. The play involves the students of the second and third year of the International Centre of Lomonosov Moscow State University /ICL/. The whole performance will be held in French on the site known as the famous Geneva Theatre "Carouge". However, there are some plans for the future that actors will perform in Russian, too.
The director of the performance is the teacher of the Shchukin Theatrical School, the administrator of the "Performing Arts" program in ICL Valentine Stasyuk. He deems it important that the Geneva audience is able to see Russian drama school in French. Stasyuk explained that this work of literature itself has an open ending - it can vary depending on the season when it is performed. "Now, of course, the tale will be timed for Christmas" - the director said.
