Moscow museums and galleries will work for free during the Christmas holidays for the second year in a row. From 2 to January 8 everyone will be able to visit the expositions.

In addition, the museums are preparing special holiday programs. So, at the Museum of Russian estate culture "Blachernae-Kuzminki" the exhibition "New Year in Moscow" dedicated to the traditions of XIX-XX centuries will be held. Darwin Museum has prepared the exhibition "Meeting the year of the Snake" devoted to the symbol of the year 2013, and the "Kolomenskoye" Museum-Reserve will present the program "Russian Winter". The guests can walk through the state rooms and private rooms of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, then ride on an open sleigh pulled by horse and play Russian folk games in the fresh air. At the Multimedia Art Museum many exhibitions will be held during the holidays: "Charlie Chaplin", "Faith. Hope. Manchuria", "Paradise Network" and "The magic of animation". The "Manezh" hosts the exhibition devoted to the Soviet design of 50s-80s organized by the largest art-curator of the twentieth century Ambroise Vollard and the exhibition "The Soviet Venera". The museum-reserve "Tsaritsyno" will open an exhibition of the works by Russian artists of different generations
