The City Police Will Work In a Robust Security Regime On the New Year Holidays

The police in Moscow will work in a robust security regime on the Eve of New Year and Christmas. On the New Year's Eve the order in the city centre will be supported by more than 5.8 thousand people from the Interior Ministry.


      

During the holidays 1400 public events are planned in the capital, 130 of them are of the city level. On the night of January 7, 260 temples and churches in Moscow will host church services dedicated to the celebration of Christmas. From December 22 to January 12 about 35,000 policemen and the people from the Interior Ministry troops will be involved to maintain order and security in the capital.


      

To procure the necessary order during the holidays, special plans were created; offices for the coordination of the forces of law and order were organized. The city police will start to work in this robust security regime in advance. The police will take special control over schools and educational buildings where the events with mass participation of children and adolescents will be held.


      

All objects of the celebrations will be examined by the dog experts with dogs in advance. The places of the city police squads patrolling will be as close to the places of Christmas shows, concerts and matinees as possible.
