Grandfather Frost Is In Moscow

All-Russian Grandfather Frost has come to Moscow with the important New Year mission - to light up the fires on the Christmas tree in Gorky Park on December 24. Over the last few weeks the Grandfather toured 40 cities in Russia and abroad, visiting schools, hospitals, city events.

He also plans a visit to St. Petersburg and a meeting with Santa Claus in the Finnish town of Lappeenranta. At last the residents of Moscow have been able to see the Grandfather. Grandfather`s helpers managed to partially sort out the New Year's post.

Children, according to the tradition, want computers, toys, and the most pragmatic ones are asking for money. However, every 10th letter is written by adults. Their desires are usually connected with intangible things - love, health and happiness in the New Year.
