Three Times More Street Cleaners Will Be Attracted After the New Year

The number of the cleaners attracted to the cleaning of the three central sites in Moscow after the celebration of the New Year will be increased threefold.

The main celebrations on New Year's night will be held at Tverskaya, Lubyanka and Manege Squares in Moscow. In total, the New Year celebrations will be attended by about 5 million people. The number of the street cleaners who will clean up these main sites of the New Year's Eve celebration in the centre of Moscow will be substantially increased. On ordinary days these areas are cleaned by 50-60 people, on the holidays the number of cleaners will make up 100-150 people. The issue of increasing the number of the specialized equipment will be solved immediately before its departure, as far as the number of snow plows depends on the kind of weather. During the festivities the street cleaners will walk among the crowd of people and clean the garbage. As the time approaches the morning the special equipment removes the rest of the garbage.
