VTB has sold 20 % shares of Metalloinvest

 The state bank VTB has sold 20 % shares of Metalloinvest. The richest Russian businessman, Alisher Usmanov is the main shareholder of Metalloinvest.


      

The company USM Holding, which is under control Alisher Usmanov and his partners Vladimir Stotch and Farkhad Mosheri, has become the buyer of the shares. The sum of the deal is not revealed.


      

Bank VTB has received 20% shares of Matalloinvest from Coalco Metals, owned by Vasiliy Anisimov, as paying for the debt in the end of 2011. The sum of the deal amounted about three billion USD. Coalco Metals got the loan of $1.5 billion from the Bank VTB in 2008.


      

Metalloinvest is the largest producer of the iron ore in the territory of the former USSR
