For Vladimir Spivakov and "Moscow Virtuosos" it has become a good tradition to celebrate the Christmas Day with Mozart`s music and in the company of brilliant soloists. This year the concert took place on 24 December in the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International House of Music.

Together with the maestro his chamber orchestra and the chorus "The masters of choral singing", the famous French pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard and four great singers came to the stage. Pierre-Laurent Aimard is one of the favourite pianists of the Russian public. He is the spiritual son of Olivier Messiaen, the world's best interpreter of his works and all "contemporary music written for piano" (as Gyorgy Ligeti claimed), and a longtime member of the Pierre Boulez`s ensemble InterContemporain. Aimard has played in Russia many times, and his every concert becomes a unique long-memorable event. Outstanding soloists from Germany, Ireland and Switzerland were attracted to the performance of the legendary Requiem. They all are well known in Europe, sing in the best theaters of the world, work with leading conductors and are always involved in major festivals.
