The editions which once were stored as "secret" appeared in public access again. "The books with and without the label" – such is the name of the exhibition which is held at the State Socio-Political Library. "The label" is a hex with the number, the print of the censor. Since 1938 these labels were put on the documents which were deemed dangerous for the official ideology. The Doctor of Historical Sciences Albert Nenarokov explains, "So that you could imagine how much more amusing some things were, I`ll give you an example. It is known that Kamenev was the director of "The Academy", and "The Academy” once published Arab “Tales of 1000 and 1 Nights" under his edition. The edition was placed in the special archive only because Kamenev was its editor, and he wrote the foreword to it. The memories of the witnesses of the revolution, notes in newspapers, leaflets, journals of meetings were taken away and sent to the closed funds. Many documents were sent to the library of Marx and Engels Institute which is now the State Socio-Political Library.
