The Voice musical project came to an end on December 29.
The 21-year-old singer Dina Garipova (from Zelenodolsk town in Tatarstan) became the winner of the competition. Elmira Kalimullina (from Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan) got the silver prize.
According to conditions of the final stage of the competition, four finalists were expected to perform in a duet with the invited stars in the first round and sing solo in the second round. After that one of them – the one who gained the smallest poll had to drop out. In the final round the remaining three participants were to perform with their instructors. At last, after that round, when there remained only two finalists, following the results of viewers’ vote the winner of the musical project was defined.
In total 1.7 million people voted for finalists, which is an absolute record. Thus, 66.2 percent of Russians gave their voices for Dina Garipova and 33.8 percent voted for Elmira Kalimullina.
The main prize of the Voice musical competition is a 5-year contract with UNIVERSAL MUSIC RUSSIA, which means recording albums, solo concerts and tours.
