Transneft To Increase Investment for 2013

Transneft has unveiled an investment programme worth 161.5 billion roubles, or some $5.4 billion, a 50 percent more than in 2012.

      The projects getting the biggest spending are the Zapolyarye-Purple oil pipeline (RUR73.5 billion), upgrade of major pipelines (RUR16 billion), the Kuyumba-Taishet pipeline in East Siberia (RUR15.9 billion), and the second phase of the East Siberia–Pacific Ocean link (RUR11.6 billion).

      The pipeline throughput is expected to be increased 0.5 percent to total 480.7 million tons.
