Constructivism Monument May Be Demolished in Yekaterinburg

Discussions of another demolition of a historical object have been started in Yekaterinburg.

It is a building constructed in constructivism style at the address 6, Voyevodina Street. Right behind this building construction works are being conducted. In the Network there have already appeared a few projects of building-up of the would-be emptied place. One of the options is construction of a shopping mall.

City activists intend to defend the sample of constructivism and achieve recognition of the building as an architecture monument. In Yekaterinburg demolitions of buildings making historical image of the city usually occur extremely painfully – for example one can remember destruction of the Passage building.
