American TV channel HBO has acquired the rights for the showing of the documentary “Pussy Riot: the Punk Prayer" directed by Mike Lerner and Maxim Pozdorovkin at the independent film festival "Sundance".

The film participates in the program of the world documentary films which includes 11 more movies. The sum of the transaction is unknown. The film tells about the process on the participants of the punk band Pussy Riot that took place in Moscow in 2012 for performing the "punk prayer" in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour; the court sentenced two girls – Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina to 2 years of imprisonment, as for Ekaterina Samutsevich, the same sentence was later replaced by the 2 years probation.
