The main European scientific forum on catalytic chemistry, International Congress on Catalysis will for the first time in 20 years take place in Russia in 2015, Kazan was chosen as the place of the event.

By the decision of the Board of the European Federation of Catalytic Societies Catalysis Institute has won the right to host this congress. Until now Russia was not considered as a place for such congress, because an event of this level requires a special infrastructure. Kazan has this infrastructure due to the fact that the city is preparing for the Universiade-2013.
