Yury Bashmet Anniversary

Musical rarities were played at the concert in Moscow in honor of the anniversary of Yury Bashmet.

In honor of Yury Bashmet the musicians played musical rarities created by Stradivari, Guarneri and Amati at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. The delightful concert featured the unique instruments of the State Collection of Russia, and it was the final chord of the maestro`s “First 60" festival.

The masterpieces of famous Italian artists found a new sound thanks to the chamber ensemble "Moscow Soloists" led by the hero of the anniversary. The foreign friends of the famous violist and conductor performed at the closing ceremony – these are the world-renowned musicians: pianist Oleg Maisenberg from Austria, cellist and composer Giovanni Sollima from Italy.
