Melikhovo Museum Opens the Reading Contest

"Melikhovo" Museum held IV international contest of readers from 26 to 29 January, its theme was "Chekhov and his contemporaries".


      

"The idea of such contest came to us before Chekhov's anniversary in 2010, the year when we celebrated the 150th anniversary of the great writer”, - the director of the contest, the head of theatre projects of "Melikhovo" Museum Vladimir Baycher said. – “We thought it would be good if Chekhov's words sounded on a day like this”.


      

The contest invites young professional actors and senior students of higher educational institutions with their versions of Chekhov`s works and the works of his contemporaries, each performance should not exceed 15 minutes.
