The Ban On Smoking On The Screen Will Relate Only To Newly Made Movies

The ban on smoking on the screen concerns only newly created movies and TV series, but not the already made movies, the Deputy Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Sergei Zheleznyak said.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on Labour Protection Nikolai Gerasimenko said that, for example, in the Hollywood films the scenes with smoking have already been prohibited. He noted that the filmmakers will have to decide not to use the money from tobacco producers on the production of films, not to advertise them and not to make scenes with smoking.
