Billionaire Prokhorov's Onexim Eyes Rostelecom Stake

Citing anonymous sources among investment bankers, the business daily reports that Onexim in currently in talks with Konstantin Malofeyev, a minority shareholder. 

      
According to Vedomosti, Malofeyev was offered 51.6 billion roubles, $1.7 billion for the share of 10.5 percent he owns. It is much higher than the market price announced previously, and the news became the main driver behind the 2.3 percent surge on the Moscow Stock Exchange on Wednesday.

      
The report has not been confirmed by either party yet.
