Producers Renat Davletyarov, Feodor Bondarchuk, Alexander Rodnyansky and Sergey Selyanov have opposed the bill of quoting foreign cinemas at movie theaters. 

      On February 21 in the course of a round table sitting in the State Duma of the Russian Federation producers flayed the new bill of the deputy Dmitry Litvintsev from LDPR about decreasing the quota of foreign movies in Russian film distribution to 20 per cent.

      Producers state that this legislative initiative as such expresses disrespect for cinematographers.

      The head of the State Duma Culture Committee and film director Stanislav Govorukhin tried to calm down the creative people.In reply Dmitry Litvintsev declared that it was “a normal phenomenon”. “They also share money among the four of them”, - the parliamentarian mentioned and soon left the meeting hall.
