Andrei Vorobyov, the Acting Governor of the Moscow region, set the mission to create a map of cultural and historical sites, as well as the sights of the Moscow region.

Vorobyov said that the main objective is increasing the tourist attraction of the region. Now Moscow region has no single information tourist centre, and that is exactly the thing that should be created. It should include all information and maps, and most importantly - to involve the residents of region into the work on the map, as far as they know all the tracks and trails. Vorobyov announced it during the presentation of the new program for the development of the region in the nearest future. The specialists of the tourism industry believe that the creation of a single information tourist centre of Moscow region will help to increase the inflow of tourists not only because of the growing availability of sights, but also due to the advertisements by the travel agencies promoting their own services.
