The first memorial museum in our country - the so-called "Highest Palace of Alexander the First" – is planned to be restored in Taganrog.

The revival of the museum is dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the Romanov dynasty. The updated and reconstructed museum will get additional infrastructure, including cafes, shops, souvenir shops, toilet cabins and so on. The possibility of creating a lecture-hall is being discussed. As we know, Alexander the First came to Taganrog twice and stayed here in 1818. There he lived seven years later, in 1825, until his death. The museum in the house of the Tsar was opened later, it existed until 1925.
