The Centre of Arctic Tourism will open in Naryan-Mar (the Nenets Autonomous District) in 2013.

On February 28 the capital of the District will receive all indigenous people on the Day of Cold, the second event of its kind which promises to become an annual event. Apparently, the Union will be created among the peoples of the North. It is planned to build a recreational area with a winter garden and its own water park for the residents of the Naryan-Mar region. Now the construction object has already passed the stage of the state expert evaluation. The architect Ivan Polyakov said that the Centre of Arctic Tourism is to gather all the information about the variety of tourism opportunities in the Arctic Region.
