Monument to Rocket Engineer Dmitry Kozlov to Appear in Samara

Creation of a monument to Dmitry Kozlov, the chief designer of missile and space equipment of the TsSKB-Progress, will not be timed to any event or date.

It will be made as a tribute to the person, who has become a legend of astronautics.

According to relatives of Dmitry Kozlov and deputies, the competition for the best project of the monument has to be carried out on the all-Russian scale, and not just regional. The monument has to be of a certain artistic value.

It will be created on extrabudgetary funds, donations from individuals, commercial structures and all those interested in perpetuation of the memory of Dmitry Kozlov. It is planned to set up the monument near the Space Samara Museum and the carrier rocket Soyuz (Union) developed under the direction of the chief engineer.
