Morgan Stanley Seals Record Commercial Property Deal

American investment fund Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing has confirmed it is the new owner of the Metropolis mall.

According to Jones Lang LaSalle, a consultant of the deal, it is the largest commercial property contract in Russia.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed but reports estimate it at $1.2 billion.

Its previous owner, Capital Partners, have been looking for an investor since 2007.

Located near metro station Voykovskaya, the Metropolis mall boasts a trading floor of 205,000 sq.m.
