France's Depardieu Finds New Home in Russia's Saransk

French actor Gerard Depardieu now has an official address in Russia. His official place of residence is an apartment in a block of flats in the city of Saransk, the capital of Russia’s Republic of Mordovia.

The flat belongs to the relatives of Depardieu’s long-standing friend, Nikolay Borodachev, who is director of the State Film Fund.

According to the authorities, the actor plans to spend a couple of days travelling around the republic. He is expected to visit several agricultural enterprises.

Depardieu also said he plans to open his own restaurant in Saransk.
