Architecture Monument Illegally Damaged in Yekaterinburg

Gate and fencing of the merchant K.I. Langgauz’ estate - a cultural heritage site of regional value – have been illegally demolished in Yekaterinburg.

The State Property Ministry of the Sverdlovsk Region has suspended works on the site at the address 10, Dobrolyubov Street.

The building company had no corresponding permission of an authorized body in the sphere of protection of cultural heritage sites. In order to avoid further destruction of the monument of cultural heritage the Ministry issued an order to stop the construction works.

The management of the building company has been summoned to the Ministry for clarification of circumstances.
