If it is necessary, the presence of the human researchers on the Moon will be guaranteed. This was stated by the head of ROSCOSMOS Vladimir Popovkin speaking at the 37th Academic Royal Readings.

He recalled that the natural satellite of Earth was selected a priority area of space activity in Russia. "It will not be a single craft, it will be a complex of spacecrafts that will study the Moon" - the head of the Russian Space Agency said, adding that the satellite will be investigated more thoroughly than in the 60-s of the last century. "If the Academy of Sciences needs the presence of a human person /on the Moon/ for the maintenance of scientific equipment, then a human person will be present there. These works are now underway" - he said.
